Being and conceiving equals sentience?

Or is one or the other sufficient?

The weirdness of sentience never gets old, eh?

Also, this reminds me of accounts of near-death experiences, in which the ego dissolves and we realize our self-concept isn't real. To function in life, we tend to view ourselves through rigid constructs that serve us practically, when, in reality, the self is fluid. We're internally comprised of countless versions of ourselves that exist simultaneously – yet only the most dominant version represents us at a given time. Because of this, we humans possess infinite potential in our multifacetedness, and this allows us to transform ourselves to any extent we believe. (Big tangent, I know – although both realizations might be considered transcendental.)
